Chung Oh’s School of Tae Kwon Do was founded in 1973 by Grand Master Chung Won Oh. He received his black belt in Korea under General Choi Hong Hi who is the original creator of Tae Kwon Do. When he migrated to Canada in 1973 with his two sons and wife, he started his own TKD school based out of Kitchener, Ontario. Sadly, Chung Oh passed away in 2015, but his son, Grand Master Inn Oh continues to operate the school out of Kitchener. Both Grand Master Chung Oh, and Grand Master Inn Oh have devoted their entire lives to the sport of Tae Kwon Do, and are highly respected in the world of Tae Kwon Do. Our school is an official member of the Canadian Tae Kwon Moo Do Federation and was one of the first TKD schools to ever operate in Canada.
The main school in Kitchener is where we grade for our belts in front of Grand Master Inn Oh. We also compete in tournaments at the main school throughout the year. We have multiple branch affiliates in Wellesley, Listowel, Cambridge and of course Guelph. Our Guelph school is run by Master Brad Speers, who has studied under both Grand Master Chung Oh and Grand Master Inn Oh since 1982. Currently, we are training out of St. George’s Church on Mondays and Wednesdays but additional training times are available through our main branch in Kitchener.
